Ebele Okobi: Passion for Tech & Law


Nigerian Ebele is a trailblazer.  Ebele is the Africa Public Policy head for Facebook.  She has been serving in this role since 2014 in London, United Kingdom.  The pioneering Ebele founded the human rights wing Yahoo where she served as the Global Head and Senior Legal Director for Human Rights prior to moving to Facebook. Ebele also has previous experience in the world of corporate law having worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York, Paris and London.  A passionate human rights dvocate, she has also served in various roles such as her volunteer roles for human rights organisation in Africa and the US. She also served as consumer rights attorney at the Consumer Union in San Francisco Bay Area.  Ebele has emerged as a leader in internet policy who has helped to draft important internet olicy guidelines for the organisations that he has worked for.  Ebele obtained her juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School in 1998. In 2007 she obtained an MBA from MBA from HEC Paris (école des autes Etudes Commerciales de Paris) in France.
