Marsai Martin is world’s youngest ever executive producer-By Drive Africa Writer

Black-ish’ star Marsai Martin is officially the world’s youngest ever executive producer.  Martin has broken the Guinness World Record for being the youngest Hollywood executive producer to work on a major film production.  Martin was recognized for her role in the film ‘Little’ in which she also featured with co-stars Issa Rae and Regina Hall. Martin produced ‘Little’ when she was 14 years old. In the film, Martin plays the role of a tech executive who wakes up trapped in her 13 year old body and has to navigate her world as an adult in a 13 year old body.

Martin reportedly pitched the idea for ‘Little’ to the production team of Black-ish when she was just 10 after which the film was picked up by Universal Pictures.  Martin’s recognition will appear in the 2021 edition of the Guinness World Records book. Martin believes in the importance of representation in the media and in telling stories which inspire. Martin is also the founder of a production company called Genius Productions. Her company is currently working a new project called ‘’Step Monster’.
